Sadness is for connection

In standard culture, sadness is frowned upon, even if subtly. “Boys don’t cry” and “cry like a girl” are just some of the conditionings most people go through in their childhood. Sadness is only OK for certain reasons, for example when someone died.

There’s a fundamental misconception about sadness in such culture.
